Thursday April 24 10 AM at Stewart Park behind the Town Hall.
The Town of Perth has purchased six disease resistant elm tree saplings (each 6-7 feet tall) that will be planted in Stewart Park with the help of OPT volunteers. Afterwards OPT volunteers and Town employees will move on to Last Duel Park where the five elm tree saplings that OPT has purchased will be planted. Please join us if you wish to help with the return of endangered elm trees to Perth? If you can join us we would be happy to welcome you. Please bring your own shovel, trowel (if you have them) work gloves, work boots (or Wellingtons) a water bottle and sun hat.
A pruning workshop in Last Duel Park April 26 10-12
Joanna Kowalczyk, Community Garden Coordinator, The Table Community Food Centre, will be hosting a pruning workshop on Saturday, April 26, 10-12 at Last Duel Park.
This will be a hands on session focused on answering your questions and giving participants confidence to get out in the garden and prune their woody plants.
The gate will be open so feel free to drive into the park through the main gate.
